Works in Progress – April 2016

The fun never stops when you’re building kits. Once one is done it’s onto the next! Here’s what some of the membership at IPMS Middleton Cheney have been up to recently…

Sam has been busy assembling a Pirates of the Caribbean fleet. He already has the Black Pearl finished, although he’s making some improvements to it, and now his sights are set firmly on a worthy adversary to the Pearl – the Flying Dutchman! With no kit available of the model itself, Sam is going all out with the conversion and here’s an in-progress shot of the work so far. Better stock up on that filler Sam!

Craig meanwhile, normally noted for his armour builds has finished two kits recently, but these are of the winged variety. Two Typhoons, one with propeller and one with jet!

And finally, James has been working on his latest F1 car, a Lotus 99T from 1987. There’s a first time for everything and on this occasion it’s using photo-etch and wiring up the car. Lots of tiny little details, and this is just a work in progress!

Let us know what you think in the comments below, and you never know, the Dutchman and Lotus might make it onto the website again in the near future – completed that is!
