A very warm welcome to all of the visitors of IPMS Middleton Cheney’s new website. Whether you’re a club member or just someone popping by, I hope you find what you’re looking for, and you enjoy what the club has to offer.
Our new surroundings are the result of a shift from a Moonfruit website to a WordPress one. Whilst Moonfruit gave us the flexibility to design whatever website we wanted, it’s tedious to edit and had a tiny storage amount on the free plan – just 20MB! No good for a website full of pictures of model kits! Plus their customer service left a lot to be desired…
Anyway, enough of that. We’re on WordPress now, with 3GB of storage, and even though we’re on the free plan, we can have a funky design like this one with lots of cool features. I’m a particular fan of those countdowns in the column on the left. There’s no excuse to ever miss a meeting or show again now!
We’re just one tiny corner of a vast world wide web, but in just over two years on Moonfruit our little website racked up well over 10,000 visits. There’s a counter on the left that will hopefully surpass that figure one day!
